Design everything 8x puts its name on, from creator merch drops to the ads that sell them. Merch, play launches and paid creative across four products and ten markets. You are the first dedicated designer, so the taste and the output are yours.

The role

8x runs several products at once (8x Social for creators and brands, 8x Research, 8x Plays) in ten markets including the US, UK, Europe, Turkey, Mexico, India, Brazil and Japan. Every one of them needs to look like something people want to be part of.

You are our first dedicated designer. You own merch and graphic design across all of it. The pace is fast: ship it, see what lands, then double down.

What you will actually do

Design and ship

8x drops and co-branded creator products: apparel, packaging, stickers, swag kits. You take it from mockup to the finished thing in someone's hands, working with print and production vendors along the way.

Make ad and social creative

Statics, carousels and social assets for paid campaigns on Meta, Google and TikTok. Variations to test, adapted per market. Our best performing ad so far was a plain static with blunt copy, so judgement matters more than polish.

Keep the brand system tight

Templates, guidelines and reusable assets so 8x looks like one company across products and regions.

Handle the unglamorous half

Resizing, file prep, print specs, chasing vendors and fixing things the night before a launch.

A portfolio of shipped work

Including merch or print. Years of experience matter less to us than work you can show us and explain.

Strong in the tools

Figma, Illustrator and Photoshop. Motion is a bonus.

Comfortable carrying it alone

You can own work end to end without a design team around you.

Fast and able to hold a lot at once

Several products and markets in the same week, without losing the thread on any of them.

Close to creator culture

You know what people actually want to wear, and what looks like cheap corporate swag.

What is hard about this job

Speed beats polish here: some things ship at 80 percent and get better once we see how they perform. You are designing for many audiences at once, and each product and market has its own. Budgets and production runs are small, so you will find clever workarounds instead of big shoots. If that reads as a reason not to apply, this is probably not your role.
